New Palembangensis puffer

Post by nicolbolas »

Hello everyone!

Finally got my 1st puffer this morning. The seller said that he/she is a Pao Turgidus but I don't really know if its true because I'm new to puffers :D .

Can anybody please ID and is she healthy? Haven't seen her move ever since I released her in the tank and she is shedding her slime coat.

Thanks everyone and God Bless!

If someone dropped me in a bin of water- I wouldn't be so happy... What will the final tank look like? because right now it is a glass tank with algae. Definitely thin. Poor thing.

Hello livebearer

Yeah she looked like that when I got her yesterday. I felt like something is not right with my puffer thats why I placed her in the qt tank.

If she will not eat in the next 5 days I’m going to treat for hexa.

Is metro safe with puffers?

Thanks!

You might want to change your title! Is the tank cycled? I posted a link to an article to treat IPs.

Tank is cycled @Pufferpunk. Used to house an asian arowana for 3 years before I gave him to my friend.

Is it normal for them to have small green dots on their eyes? I saw him blink and the dots did not go away.

TIA!

Nicolbolas:
Is your QT tank cycled? Maybe it is established..... but have you checked the water quality?
Hex: metronidazole for 5 days. However there are far more experienced people on this site.

Green dots are just light reflection.
