Humpback puffer white patch?

Post by benji787 »

hi guys got this guy/girl last week and so far they've been acclimatizing well, eating, fluttering around on occasion then floating back down to the sand

but i didn't and really notice this white patch on his/her skin til yesterday since you can see from the pic that they decided not to back into the parking spot (as it usually does) and also only park halfway into the stall before going to sleep.

should I be concerned? water params are all 0 but ph is around 7.8 when i checked last night.

ty!

Sorry I missed this post. How is it doing now? Has it gotten any bigger or spread?

no problem! read another thread somewhere and it was likely attributed it to a heater burn as it's pretty much faded back to normal now. and he does like to hide in the corner near the bottom of the heater it would make sense! thanks for checking in :)
