Anyone know where to find a list of puffers by size?
I have made up my mind what im going to be doing with my empty tanks this spring. I will be looking to bring in 3 diffrent puffers with one of them being brackish. I feel like if I had a size chart/listed by size to go off of. It would really help me narrow it down to what I want. My google-fu may be bad but I didn't have any luck finding anything close. Anyone have a link to something I could use? Thanks

There is a difference between what I was looking for and a forum board that has all different puffers just thrown in it at randomPufferpunk wrote: ↑Fri Feb 08, 2019 4:02 pm Sure wish our Pufferpedia was up & running!!!

Our original Pufferpedia was the #1 best resource available at the time. It had photos & everything. Breaks my heart that we lost it.

My bad I took your comment the wrong way. Guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. You happen to know what time of the year the more uncommon puffers start showing up?Pufferpunk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 11:10 am Our original Pufferpedia was the #1 best resource available at the time. What are you searching for as for "nice ones" out there.
I'd say a really good looking hairy puffer is a hard find that likes people and interaction.
Help me out with some new species to research if you wouldn't mind.
Your welcome to a 4-inch Pao palembangensis, (1 of 2) that is gorgeous, BUT as mentioned before is the shy one of the two dragons I care for. The other one is a blast. Very odd.
It's in a 40 breeder peninsula build. Dark on one side, and plants on the other side of the driftwood wall.

I just dont know what im really looking for for my last 55g tank. Its a bedroom tank so it is heavily planted but I'm not sure I want to put a pet Potato in it that hides every time I'm in the room. But I also want a puffer with enough size that I can see it moving around from the other side of the room. I'm honestly stumped at this point. My schoutedeni is in it right now but I have someone coming to pick him up this week.
I might just stick with only doing 2 puffer tanks atm and look at maybe some other options but I'm just addicted to puffers so idk lmao.

Re: Anyone know where to find a list of puffers by size?
My Duboisi and Miurus both interact with me and swim up to the glass when I come by even though they are ambush hunters. I think it's because I usually hand feed them. If you don't want a puffer that's stationary or needs plant-eating snails, I would really recommend T. Miurus, T. Duboisi, or P. Abei. However, keep in mind that many T. Miurus love to bury themselves in sand or soft substrate.

The more I look into an Abei the more I like it. Now to actually find one for sale. Not seeing a lot of anything out there atm.pufferjw wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 11:24 am My Duboisi and Miurus both interact with me and swim up to the glass when I come by even though they are ambush hunters. Edit: Just looked at my LFS order list and the only puffs they had was a large Target Puffer.

Bwaaaa!!!!! lolol
Shhhhhh. me too.
I saw saltwater dogface puffers years ago and stopped before it began.
Recently, I saw the assortment of freshwater ones.....and that was it....it started before I could stop it.

Careful ordering an abei. Be absolutely sure they send you a pic of the EXACT puffer you will be receiving! I ordered one & got another turgidus, even though they had posted a pic of an abei & insisted that was the exact fish I was getting. Found out later, that pic had been on there for months.
