Labeled Leiurus

Post by PYRU »

I was told this is a leiurus but the snout doesn't look long enough. I think this is a fangs puffer. Any thoughts?

I don't know what's up with the leiurus label lately. I don't think I've ever seen a true leiurus offered in the US.

I would get it. You definitely don't see those everyday. Abei are easier to find than a true leiurus

Thanks - hoping to collect it tomorrow! I'll let you know and post pics!

Is there anything I can look out for to confirm its a true leiurus?

Snout is long like 2 eye ball length. It looks kind if like barbatus but will transition to white gradually on the belly.

I collected mine, pretty sure it's no leiurus (photos to follow) - he has a line accross his head - is that a give away in terms of what species?
