Sad News...

Post by Pufferpunk »

Lost my old murius this week. I got him from a nice, Polish fellow back in Chicago. Is he still on here? I actually brought this fish on my 2-day drive down here to SC. He was a great fish! My turgidus is following him soon. Stopped eating. I got him from a fellow near the beach, I believe he lived near Charlotte.

Filbert was great with tank mates. I can't take the chance that another one would be & risk all my other fish. I have been trying to clear out my 120g for one but no takers for big SA fish around here.

I have a house on Kiawah Island, which isn't too far from you. I have an empty 220 gallon there, I may decide to start it up. What fish are you trying to relocate?

I have a pair of adult Crenicichla lenticulata & also a large Pinecone pleco, I'm looking to sell. I would absolutely love for them to have a bigger tank to swim in!
I'd be happy to email you photos/vids of them.

Paid $85 each for the cichlids when they were 3 in long, I'm asking $150 for the both. I paid $450 for the pleco at 3 in long, I'm asking $400 for him. He's an absolutely gorgeous fish!

Very sorry to hear of Filbert's passing and also that your turgidus is not doing well. It's so hard to lose them individually, and when it happens close together, it's double the heartbreak. I'm sure they count themselves lucky to have ended up with you taking care of them and have the very best homes.

I also lost my old murius last month. The turgidus has stopped eating. :(

Potentially, I'd have to get the tank going again before I would.

pufferjw, I'm not in a huge hurry but would like to get the puffer shipped to me before winter is here. The cichlids are fun to watch banter with each other & the pleco is a hoot, with all the interesting positions he poses! He's a real chub, too.
