Kuhli Loaches

Post by Glokta »

Hi, I’m preparing a tank for Dwarf Puffers, it’s 160l, I have a precycled sponge filter in there plus I’m just going to start up the integral trickle filter. Current bio load is just snails. I have some plants in there too. I’d really like a cleanup crew, and was thinking of a small colony of Khuli Loaches, which I would provide with an area of soft sand and leaf litter. The tank will follow your guidelines of heavily planted and lots of nooks and crannies. Khuli Loaches are nocturnal, Puffers appear diurnal. My problem is that my water is hard, average GH 14, pH 8. Addition of Bogwood may reduce the pH I understand. Any advice or comments?

I think they resemble worms way too much.
