Hi! I need your preciuous advice.

I'm an italian guy and i want introduce a puffer fish in my 360l heavily-planted tank (100x60x60). The tank has a 55l filter/sump. (I include photos to look it)

I wish introduce puffer fish: colomesus asellus (my favourite, i'm lovin' it) OR carinotetraodon travancoricus.

How many specimens I can buy? I think 3/4 c.asellus or 6/7 c.travancoricus. It's right?

I need to know behaviour of both fishes, and compatibility with other fishes.

No personal experience, and don't know anything about dwarf puffers and compatibility...

That tank is PERFECT for C travancoricus! They love a heavily planted home. Not so much for the C asellus . Then need LOTS of swimming room. library/puffers-in-focus/dwarfpuffercare/

Amazing link.

If I remove some plants to have more free space, can I put 3 c.asellus? They are the most beautiful puffer fish!!!

Ps: I forgot to say that I have a loooooot of physa, and I know they are indispensable For puffer fish.

I still do not think that tank is appropriate for SAPs.

Why? Only because I have too much plants? I remove them, and obviously I set the correct water conditions with a RO water changes.

library/puffers-in-focus/sap/ Here I read "a pack of half a dozen specimens would look great in a 125-180 litre", I have 360l and i want put in 3-4 specimens. :?:

Lots of open swimming space. A long tank is much better than square.

Ok. Then I choose c.travancoricus. But how many specimens? 5?

Is it compatible with a small group of gastromyzon or similar like beaufortia?

Hi, I need another advice.

In many italians forum no one knows the correct value for ph and Kh.

I need both values for Colomesus Asellus and C.travancoricus.

Now My tank has ph 7.5/8 and Kh 9.

Please help me!!!

I top-up with RO water and it has ph 5.5 and Kh 2.

Forget RO water, just do water changes with your tap water, it's good.
