It is sad. My one regret is that they are HUGE right now and I don't want to leave completely, especially since Tom Barr is there.
Currently they are larger than APC.

Both of those are of mind-boggling scale.
I used to be active on APC, but dropped out.

APC doesn't have the membership it once did, at most there are only a few hundred members on line at any given time.
TPT on the other hand, has consistently aprox 1000 members online. Very good customer base

I am a terrible snob. I value quality over quantity anytime. I have not spent enough time on the other site to have any feel for it. I liked APC early on, but became disenchanted as it grew and I eventually dropped out, as it did not any longer "fit" my interests.
I really do not fit well in any of the planted tank sites - their aims and attitudes are too different from my own. I do largely planted fish (or invert) tanks, with some veggie filters. I have not done a plant tank in decades. I have different goals and needs from theirs.

I understand fully. Typically the only time I post there is when it pertains to a product I am selling or to peddle my wares

Would still like to hear from you shrimp and snail breeders over there
