What is proper amount of marine salt to add per gallon to raise sg 1.002 and what is appropriate sg for brackish for a gsp about 1.5 to 2 inches

My tank is currently fw i want to convert to brackish thus i need to know how much marine salt per gallon to add to raise sg 1.002 and begin cycling the tank

You will need a hydrometer or a refractometer to measure specific gravity (SG). Also don't raise your SG more than .002 per week or you will crash your filter. Which leads me to another question: Is your tank cycled. If not leave it FW until it is cycled because you're gonna need lots of water changes.

Very roughly, .002 SG will be about 1 tablespoon per 2 gallons if my math is right.

I just aquired approx 70 gallon tank im going to put my gsp in so i will be beginning the cycling process but thank you for the info it cleared things up for me on how to go about getting my tank right i plan on purchasing bio spira to cycle my tank and then slowly convert to brackish ive read sg for gsp is suppose to be between 1.005 and 1.010 is this info correct
