I found these on a Chinese blog and had to share them with you guys! They're the best pictures of a puffed GSP I've seen (where the fish wasn't taken out of the water)

Yes :) They're hidden under the skin when they're not puffing. I believe most puffers have spines actually. On GSPs you can see them as little white dots (kind of looks like ich, lol)

You can see the spines pretty well in my picture here:

I've had a GSP for 8 or so years and not once did I ever notice spines on him. Makes me wonder if Camille has spines somewhere...

i´d also seen my GSP doing "puffing" but they never show off their spines u_U

I have never seen or felt spines on my SAPs..... And they always puffed up during a trimming.
