I doont have a single thing which is hard or bad, however i am a stopgap for many fish awaiting rehoming so maintaining many tanks/ keeping empty tanks ready for new arrivals is hard when you also work upto 90 hours a week. Howwever i am low stocked at mo will soon add a f8 to my collection.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I dont bother repairing anymore as secondhand tanks are so cheap. If i had to name 1 hard thing to do its changing the substrate in a 5ft by 2ft tank housing a 12" pissed off fahaka, had to really watch my fingers lol

eieio: I remember moving a 30g SW tank just 10 miles down the road, i could only imagine how hard it was to move all your tanks.

Bert: Sounds like i wouldve been wearing welding gloves to do that. lmao

Actually, deciding what the next setup is to be is the hard part, always. There are so many possibilities and so little time, space, energy, and money.

Probably, plumbing my reef tank into 2 different systems: sump & separate refugium. Luckily, Hubby is a 40 year pipefitter!

Hearing my husband say things like, "Hey, Goliath (our betta) isn't this much better than a puddle?" (Face/palm)

And I finally got him to stop doing this: We'll be at an LFS, he asks the employees, mind you the same shlomo tree, the same questions, each time we go, stuff like, "Hey, can a *insert small, delicate, peaceful fish here* go in with a puffer?"
Basically, he has a bad memory and ADD, so he asks noobish questions repeatedly, and asks me if I can put together impossible and/or myth-based set ups.

I'm glad he likes and is interested in my hobby, I wish he would remember things better. Sometimes it's hard because I like to keep a very low stock number on my tanks, but he wants all kinds of fish, I feel bad explaining that it's just not a good idea, and then I explain how it should be done, and so the end result? More tanks... which is ok, but he can't really help with maintenance because he's just not very careful, or detail oriented, and even after many years, he just doesn't ready get certain things.

Oh, one more of his difficult to listen to quotes regarding my water change schedule he use to feel was excessive, "If it were me, I'd just change the water when 'it needed it'." I honestly don't even know how he would determine ' when it needed it', I asked but he didn't explain.

Edit: "shlomo tree" is supposed to be employees, my phone auto corrected it to that. Normally I'd just fix it, but I think that's pretty funny.

It CORRECTED it to "shlomo tree"? That rocks.

Hardest thing I've done is complete tank tear-down and then set-up again to change substrates. My F8s needed their aragonite sand, you know?
