Marine Ich
Got a friend with a cowfish that he bought from a LFS, I had been in there the day before and had noticed all the puffers and a few others looked like they had ich. His cow was housed with a porc that had ich and is now showing signs of ich. Seeing how I dont know crap about sw yet Im not sure what to tell him to do to help his cow out.
I cant remember what all is in the tank, but I know he has a few corals, some inverts, and other fish.

Re: Marine Ich
Best thing to do in my exepierence is remove them , and put them in quaratine to treat the ick ! Last time I got ick ( and only time so far ) I used API Super Ick Cure! The LFS told me to raise the temp gradually to 80-82 , To speed up the lifecycle of it ! It worked out for me ! Im not sure on how it effects Puffers the active ingredients are Malachite green and Nitrofurazone! No clue to what they are just passing on the info! LOL Get them puffies better!

Re: Marine Ich
I had ick once, from my yellow tang. I used cupramine and it worked awesome. Moving him to a quarantine tank would be best...cupramine will kill inverts. I just cupramine my DT because I didn't have a quarantine tank, I didn't have any inverts though....so it work really well.

Re: Marine Ich

Im thinking about telling him to take it back before it infects everyone else in the tank

I agree with J-P...it's more than likely to late. Hypo would be a good option being you have inverts.

Re: Marine Ich
Read the article on this in our Library. This is not FW ich. DO NOT RAISE THE TEMP! The cysts infect the gills & will make it hard enough for them to breathe, without lowering the O2, bu making the tank warmer & it does nothing to eradicate the parasite.
