if you know there hasnt been any chemicals sprayed in the garden then I dont see why not

I feed my Ceylon and Fahaka garden worms, so I can't see why not.
As stated, make sure there aren't any pesticides. That's the big worry.
If it freaks you out, maybe breed snails? Just an idea.

I also tried garden snails a few years ago, before i started to breed my own snails.
After a rainfall,my garden was full of snails, so i got like 20 of them, had them in a terrarium with some moisture soil, and feeded them with greens/veggies for about a week to give them a (detox) before i feeded them to mine puffers... i also washed them in tapwater before i gave them to my fish...
I dont know if i can recommend garden snails(we dont know what they had for dinner last night), but if you take caughtion and feed the snails a few days by youreself....i guess its ok
