Need a list
I kind of need a list of things to get for a GSP tank. Looking at everything is so overwhelming, try not to use short terms because I really don't know all of them..! Thanks!

Re: Need a list
I suggest also on top of previously listed...
Feeding tongs
Snail tank
- filter for snail tank
- heater for snail tank(optional, but produces best results)
Salt mixing container
- powerhead(for salt mixing)
- heater(for salt mixing)
- some sort of pump, to pump mixed salt water back to tank

Re: Need a list
Also, why a heater for the salt mixing? Do I need to buy a separate heater?

Re: Need a list
You need to have the pre-mixed salt at the same temperature as the tank before adding it to the tank. The salt will also dissolve better and faster and more completely if the mixing vessel is at tank temperature.

Re: Need a list
Keep in mind that you can probably skimp a little bit on your mixing heater but double check the temps at water change time. Also keep in mind that your mixing heater can be your back up heater in case your tank heater goes bad. And this is a reason not to skimp on the heater. My HD PVR wrote:Also, why a heater for the salt mixing? Do I need to buy a separate heater?
Also as stated earlier about feeding tongs...Look on Ebay for large tweezers. You can get a 12" pair for like $8 and 18"ers are also available.
Good luck.

Re: Need a list
To me, anyone who hand-feeds a fahaka or mbu should be in therapy - for their brain. They value their hands so little?
Anyone who hand feeds any puffer is foolishly teaching a predator to associate hands and food and is not exactly displaying high intelligence.

The lists given are great. Yes use some tongs/Hemostats to feed.
