a gravel vac is good. When you take out the dirty water from the 10gal use that water to clean the sponges in the filter and nothing else :)

Just remember not to use the tap water for cleaning the filter. That is very important :)

You can vacuum the gravel...but don't clean anything except the glass..

Yes, it's ok to vacuum the gravel any time you change the water. Just make sure you don't scrub things down or do more than that right now :)
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

It sounds like you are overfeeding. Feed only what they can eat completely, in 5 minutes. What foods are you offering them?

that will be cool :)

it has to be outside the tank. If it is inside then your 10 gal suddenly becomes MUCH smaller ;)

this is why I recommended earlier that you draw or paint a background :)

that would be very good. It will help keep the tank healthy. The problem is, if the plants start to die and some alwyas will it will make cleaning the tank a little more difficult.

one side is a + the other side is a -

I know it has only been a couple days, but any luck with that 30 gal? I know you dad said the floors can't take it, but I am sure with some 2x4 under the stand it will be just fine :)
