Oh you poor thing.
Tell ya what... I'll pray for you, tonight... Pray you get there, get the tank, and get it home all in one easy smooth transaction - Hopefully without ANY problems...

Re: BLOAT IS HERE
Mine seems to eye his food a lot too, his eyes get big O.O and he'll hover over it till I'm to the point of being convinced he's not going to eat it.... then he'll change angles and check it all out... finally attack....

My Palembang puffers seem to do that. They hover over it, and look at it, and then go in for the "woof" into their mouth!

Re: BLOAT IS HERE
He does sometimes just stare at it, but he literally body checked it. He was starin at it and then slammed his body into it. Did it a couple of times in a row before eating it

Re: BLOAT IS HERE
That's funny you should mention that xray because my Abei used to do that. He would do it with earthworms and I thought it was because they were alive. He doesn't do it any more, but I remember commenting to my husband about how strange it looked and wondering why he was doing it. So I know exactly what you mean.

Re: BLOAT IS HERE
Ah, but that's what's cool about puffers ... they do strange and unusual things that make us laugh and wonder about them. After having puffers, I don't think I could go back to having just regular tropical fish (not that there's anything wrong with regular tropical fish).

Re: BLOAT IS HERE
Welp just found out Bloat has nice teeth, and doesnt like to go long with out food (even if he is fed every day). I went to put a clam in his tank for him and I guess my fingers looked like worms cause he started attacking my fingers. Got me once and missed the other 3-4 times he went after me LOL
