We found out both our male cats have heart murmurs today.. on a scale of 1-6 mine is a 3/4 and my mums is a 2/3.
Vet's coming to our house wednesday to listen again (they where both SERIOUSLY stressed at the vets and he wants to check it's not just that before doing scans)
I'm so worried :( I don't want them to die, not so young they're only 1. They're like my children lol I feel sick.

Awww Tiger, try not to get too upset. I had a dog that actually had a hole in her heart, but she's still alive (my mother has her now and she's like 11 years old) ... so just because something is "wrong" doesn't mean they will die. Be positive. :)

I went to my pain doctor today expecting something to be done about my ever-increasing pain. The doctor looks at me and says "So what would you like me to do?" and I'm thinking, well I'm not the one with the medical degree, that's why I'm here!

So, after a chat about my issues, the best he could come up with is to do an epidural into my spinal column with steroids. He went through all the bad things that can happen, but told me very little good that might come of it. I'm not really sure that's something I want to do. I will have to give this some thought. :(

I hope so :( I'm trying to be possitive I've just not got much more possitive energy left in me recently
Maybe a silly question but how long would the pain go away for? I know when you have a baby, the epidural is on a drip and the pain basically comes back after it's taken out, so is it just like that? or is it something that lasts for a long time/always?

You're right, it's not a permanent fix, it's just temporary and how long exactly that it would work, I have no idea, Just trying to decide if it's worth it or not. He really went heavy on all the bad points. :scared:

I was fired from the landscaping job. I hope I can get a decent amount for unemployment for a while. The owner sited "cash flow" issues and promised a good reference.

Now I have time to actually work the tanks again and get stuff done around the house :) The downer is.. I'm going to be hard pressed to pay the bills :(

Every contractor here is hurting at the moment... even home builders have no work this fall. The HST rush cam in April - July and now it suddenly became quiet.

I should get UI... I was over 40 hours a week there... and I hope that ties me over until my wife's job kicks in.

Well.. today the vet was suppose to be coming to our house but now he's coming tomorrow.
My gran bought me a huge box of chocolates because I was sad about the cats haha, I ate a whole jar of American marshmellow fluff on my own anddd I found out I can get a Mac Pro card.. I'm sure the girly girls will know what that is but for everyone else it means I get 20% off awesome expencive make up ^^ yey. Cant wait to get money and buy stuff now. I hate going in that shop though the girls are gorgeous and look like dolls and it makes you very self conscious.

Argued with the boyfriend too today.

Today I learned how to make cheese sauce and made Cauliflower cheese and it was SO good, seeing as I'd never made it before it was a great effort.. super yummy.
I'm eating that a lot now. I made plain cauliflower earlier and it was boring but now I can eat sort of healthy & it be tasty
Ummm vet was suppose to be coming today (again) but didn't (again).. I bought my guinea pig a new food bowl with cute carrots on it..
I watched lots of tv and read my book, tomorrow I'm going to clean my room.

I think I just found a new job... The email didn't say anything exact but it ended with "I look forward to working with you"... That means yes right?

If so this job would be as a research assistant (through the university) and working at a thoroughbred race track. They're doing a study on racing horses. So, three days a week I might be heading to the nearest TB track which is only like 100kms away  Yay Canada... And here Carmen was worrying about a 35min drive :ROFL2:

On the back injections, they differ for everyone. I had it done and it only lasted me a few weeks tops. Some people it does nothing, some it helps em out for a long time. But it can help the doc pinpoint where the pain is coming from and then they can go in a freeze that nerve ending that is giving you problems

Its really an easy thing, they stick a needle in your back(we use xray to see where its going) and then inject the meds.

That is if they are doing what I think they are

I bought two coconuts, drained/cleaned and now boiling 1 (two halves)... One coconut was a little stinky, and the meat didn't come clean out - in fact it was a bit yellow. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it. It was only about $2 each, so not bad... Be enough to start out with for the new tank's hidey holes.

Also bought some plant bulbs - about $3 a pack, I got 6 Hardy Aponogeton Bulbs and 2 Lilly bulbs (each kind had their own pack.) Just toss them in the water, leave the light on at least 8 hours a day - and they sprout, root themselves, (then you can replant if need be) and are sprouting green stuff within 15 days.

Kiddo wants to go out, I need to check the coconut halves.
More later :D

got permission to use photos from Shirakura to use on my wife's (our) new web site. Just need some really professional pics so I asked a company in Germany if we are allowed to use their photos. I hope it all goes well :D
