so i just found out my local walmart is getting rid of their fish... WOOOOOO!!!!
so anyway, i was there anyway and i was asking the guy how many more shipments of fish they were getting, and he said no more shipments would be comming in (and i believed him because there were virtually no fish left, and the ones they had were on sale)

so i noticed they had 3 little GSPs left... and i admit, i caved... i couldnt bear to let them go to some little whiny kid who would probably put them in a 1.5gal tank... so they are currently in my divided 55 gal (the other side has my palem, but he doesnt seem to notice) they will only be with me until i can find proper homes for them... kind of like a foster home :)

i know, you guys might tear me to bits for it... but they werent getting any more and i decided a divided 55gal was better than a 1.5gal... ive got a few ads on craigslist.com listing them as brackish puffers needing 30gal or better (for each of course) im not asking for any money for them... just want to make sure they go to someone who can take care of them...

please see my ad in the classefieds if youre in northern california thanks ;)

You didn't really contribute to a problem and the fish should be better off :)

Only reason I'd flame you is now you have to treat your palem for IPs probably. Hope he doesn't get any other pathogens transfered to him.

i kno :( i realized it could be an issue after the fact... i was kind of focused on the fact that id rather them be fostered in my tank rather than unknowingly tortured in some little girls betta tank because the mother wouldnt opt out for a proper tank due to lack of knowledge... but overall, the GSPs do appear healthy and they are eating... (i kno odd for walmart :lol:) but i will just as precaution... they should be okay. i have no doubts about these little guys... but will treat just in case ;)

mr green: u talk about your son a lot ive noticed... he seems like quite a character lol... seems like a fun kid to have around tell him TPF says hi! and to keep on puffing, cause they puff cause they puff cause theyre puffs ;) lol

lol He says crazy stuff fairly often! His older brother does, too, but only rarely- and signature worthy. Hehe

I agree with pufferpuggirl. I hope you find great homes for the GSP's and nothing was brought home with them to make your palem sick.

I'm pretty sure no Wal-Marts in Canada carry fish anymore, at least in Alberta anyway. Apparently they lost their license to carry live animals. Great news!!!!

I'm not so sure Walmart is done with fish yet. There is one near where I live that has started to stock brine shrimp and blood worms only just recently, and their tanks are filled up with water again...
