Greetings All- I just brought my Saddled Valentini home from my trusted LFS. The fish came in about 2 weeks ago but the owner was nice enough to ensure that the puffer ate well and was healthy before selling it to me.
The puffer seems to be happy in his new tank but did not chase after the food like the other fish. Usually how long does this take? The owner said this puffer was eating mysis shrimp in her tank and that is exactly what I feed my fish.
Of strange observation is that this puffer seemed to puff a little while pooping...yes you read correctly!! i become worried when I saw a slight puffing and then I saw something come out....
Otherwise everything is going well.

Re: NEW SADDLED VALENTINI!!!
I don't think Valentinis are over aggressive. At least the ones I've seen. My valentini was always hesitant in going in for food when the other fish were around. Initially, I shot mysis shrimp his way with a plastic turkey baster looking thing so he could eat.MatthewLaw wrote:The puffer seems to be happy in his new tank but did not chase after the food like the other fish.
