1) I do not recommend this for all keepers. You have to have a very steady hand and be very accurate.
2) No, this is not for all puffers. I don't know what puffers it will work for and which ones it won't. When in doubt: MS-222 (aka finquel)
3) DO NOT LET THE LITTLE GUY OUT OF THE WATER! There is a distortion from your point of view to what is happening in the water. If you can't compensate then use MS-222 (aka finquel)

well it takes practice and a gentle hand. Usually the puff up when on the 2nd tooth, but this one didn't

I am of 2 minds on this... the cuticle clippers are good (stainless steel), but I think I like standard curved nail clippers.
The cuticle clippers don't get the left tooth properly because I am right handed and they are straight. With nail clippers they are curved and I can get both teeth evenly. The bad point on nail clippers is that they are not stainless steel and can't be sanitized properly before hand.

one of my 5 SAPs had a long tooth - so I tried this method - and it worked just fine. calm and easy, and the puffer was calm and cooperative. afterwards it was happy as a fish

after 9 procedures, I have not lost a single guy due to a tooth trim.
The SAPs are still doing well and comfortable in their new home
