There's not very many things that can survive a Chicago winter.

Sorry for the "bump," but I'm kind of currently dealing with this problem now. I quarantined the rock in a 5 gal. bucket and have a peppermint shrimp in there. I can't keep shrimp to save my life. They either go missing, or quickly die. Bought two from Petco two days ago, and one has already bit the bullet. If this one can't conquer the aiptasia problem, I'm just going to blow torch the entire rock and leave it out in the Phoenix sun. Such a shame, because it is a nice, big, live rock. It's too alive though lol.

So I must be blind as a bat, but I found the other peppermint shrimp yesterday or the day before... Can't remember. As far as I can tell, I'm not really seeing aiptasia polyps as much on the outskirts of the rock. I know I have a huge infestation on the inside of the rock, though. The shrimp seem to be eating it slowly, and I also feed them Hikari Crab Cuisine pellets (two or so per day). I'm so excited because I never have luck with shrimp....... *knocks on wood*
