gbta advice

so these gbta have been in tank for 2 weeks all seemed fine until i had to go dig out half my rock to get a panther grouper out (my coworker thought it would be a nice addition...sigh), since yesterday 4 of the 7 attached to this rock have shrivelled up significantly and generally look ill.
i havent noticed any pussing or gaping mouth so to say but im wondering how i can help them, they all seem to not want to let go of the rock ive tried but i am unsure how much force to use the are really stuck.

sorry forgot the cruicials lol
salinity = 1.025
ph =8.2
ammonia .1 ppm if that.
nitrite between .1 and .2
nitrate = .1
calcium 450
temp 78
only changes ive made to tank recently is the sump, there was a 180 in there but after our discussion about pod refugium i needed to take it out for mods so there is a temporary 100 gallon in there and about 100lbs less rock.

edit, just noticed the magnesium is down to 800 abouts this is a never ending battle... ph up magnesium down ugg.

Alk? Why are you showing ANY ammonia/nitrite at all? Time for a WC. Skimmer working well?

Maybe there's nothing at all wrong with them. Mine shrivel almost daily. I'd still get control of those parameters though. Have you considered dosing VC?

bout to pull my hair out. my water parameters are perfect everything else is thriving except the one really big gbta. tried to remove it to no avail (gravity dropping , powerhead and physically scraping it off). might be better off to remove the other 5 if possible and throw the 20lb rock it sits on in the sump. it's strange cause all the other nems frequently move to where they feel like it. /frustrated

From what I understand an Anemone will move on it's own if it's unhappy, if it's not moving then it's probably fine... mine shrivels up to nothing once in a while and then inflates again. I would just leave it as is... why are you trying to move it?

Perhaps moving all those rocks loosened a lot of micro detritus and dirtied the water a little, and maybe you just need to do a small water change to see if it helps. Just a hunch though.

ended up quarantining the rock with the nems and over the weekend they nuked the qt tank, which im guessing was from the big unhappy one. just glad i removed them before that happened, what a smell yukk.
