New tank is coming!
Just received an e-mail from the LFS that my aquarium and stand are ready for delivery. They should be coming tomorrow, hopefully before lunch.
In the meantime here is the latest revision of the rock-work. I wouldn't mind some feedback on it.
I really should dig out my camera, the picture my phone made does not really do all the caves I made justice. I love this rock, it's very easy to take a chisel to it and make natural looking caves.

Looks good, what size tank you got coming fella?
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Re: New tank is coming!
540L (on the inside only 509L )
150cm x 60cm x 60cm
Quite an upgrade from my old 112L
I keep going back and forth between making it a reef or putting my Figure 8 in it. They had a 60x60x60 cube on sale at a LFS, so I might get that for Patch the F8 instead, would fit perfectly on the unused space on my desk (my wife will probably kill me but oh well).
Right now he's residing in this 15G container with his decorations and equipment because he had to be moved downstairs. He seems quite content with it but I can't wait to have him in a proper aquarium again.

Rockwork is looking good and the rock itself looks great!
Thats a big tank! I'm jealous! I'd like one about that size or similar one day to house a dogface puffer
I say make it a reef and get some reef friendly fishes

Maybe Patch is just trying to be a bigger fish than he really is . You'd sure think so if you watch him pig out on snails.defool89 wrote: .....

Thanks, though I need to make better pics for clarity.*GSP*Fan* wrote:Rockwork is looking good and the rock itself looks great!
It's very tempted to get a bigger puffer, I must say. I am not going to though. I don't think this aquarium is large enough for arothron or diodon species. Maybe Canthigaster jactator/valentini/solandri if it becomes a reef, but only if I can guarantee it a new home if it decides to munch on the corals. I don't mind replacing clean up crew, every so often. They are cheap and can be filed under monthly maintenance cost .*GSP*Fan* wrote:Thats a big tank! I'm jealous! If the tank was 200 x 80~100 x 60, then I'd consider larger puffers.

One brand spanking new tank and stand .
They forgot the pvc pipe connectors for the drilled holes though, so I'll have to take a trip to the store.

Re: New tank is coming!
You're right . I'll go back to the LFS tomorrow and buy a 5gallon tank. I'll put this one in a big envelope and slap on a few postage stamps.defool89 wrote:mmmm i dont think that tank suits you....let me have it
On a fun note, the black wrapped package inside the aquarium that contains the cover glass has roughly the same length & depth as my 30g

So yeah..I'd definitely be tempted if I were you but I like the idea of a toby in a reef tank as well. I'm actually leaning towards a toby now and will be trying corals. I'm the same about the CUC but would hate for corals to get ate/picked at.
Either way, looking forward to the progress and your decision on what this tank will be
