New lights plus corals!
I got my new bulbs in today and set up my new fixture. I bought a 10k PC bulb as well as an Actinic. About 2 weeks ago i added my first coral, a metallic orange mushroom and about 3-4 days ago i added a few more. Just some zoas and a kenya tree frag. Here are a few tanks shots for you guys. =D
Full tank shot (Tank is going through the uglies atm)

Zoas again.

I couldn't get a picture of the kenya tree. It's moved into a hole in the top/back part of a rock. I may end up moving it.

Thanks! I'm extremely happy with it so far. It's been up and running as full SW since Dec, so it's almost 2 months old.

I'm no professional by any means, but maybe you had a bit of rock with algae that went unnoticed and it just went rampant. Could have also been the water you were using.. I've heard of tap water containing stuff that makes algae/bacteria outbreaks that do damage. Not sure though. There are many many more people on here with a billion times more exp than me.

A dip in peroxide will kill hair algae. it will also kill coralline too though, it works as a good last ditch effort

What percentage? And you meed "dip" or soak?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

3%, i just pour it on and wait 5 min, then rinse with some tank water, then put it back in the tank. I try to avoid splashing it on places that don't have any GHA, but even a little over splash doesn't seem to have too much negative effect. after about 3 days the GHA disappears. the underlying coralline discolors for about 2 weeks but then it looks great after that.
