What kind of coral is suitable for a GSP?

Beautiful, complex and discussed here. The marine fish and reef section.

Welcome to the Puffer Forum btw.

P.S. This is news to me about not vacuuming a marine water tank.
I said not recommended. Some people absolutely vacuum their marine tanks. But when you do there are countless organisms that live in the substrate that naturally filter your tanks water and clean up poo and left over food. You dont want to suck them out and dump em down the drain. Besides that you wont have a need to vacuum if the tank is properly set up with the recommended amout of live rock or more. I am quite fond of the marine organisms in my tank. Think I'll leave them in there. :D

Whether it has been properly cycled or not is in question.
This is always in question when setting up a new tank for a fish!
I used Caribsea live sand.
There is nothing live about sand in a bag. Your tank is not cycled. You need to find live rock from a long-established tank to cycle it. Is there any decor in there at all? You could also try adding Bio-Spira to the system. What filtration is on there now?

Zephyr's tank has become a bit of a dumping ground for all the corals that my friends and I decide we don't want, or have otherwise become surplus. He now has umbrella leathers, finger leathers, colt leathers, pulsing xenia, mushrooms, and button polyps. He hasn't touched any of them!

LOL, I have a tank like that! It's mostly overrun with tulip anemones. I keep a big fish-killing tube anemone in there, along with a Peacock mantis & purple lobster & a pretty sea apple.

That's a really neat combo of super-cool stuff! Tube anemone and mantis shrimps are both really neat critters I'd love to have some day...

That's great to hear Zephyr is thriving!. I'm absolutely shocked that he hasn't touched any of the corals. I remember he ate a whole piece of live rock once. :-)
