MeKong: The LR is going to stay in another empty tank[of which I have many] until it's all ready to go for the 10gal. I'm going to be waiting until the cycle is all done in it and then put it in my main tank...

And thanks BTW!

Edit: And lol +1 for being pissed off with the +1 thing...

It is still very possible to have a mini cycle even with cured rock. I had a huge one happen and all the LR I bought was cured. Didnt smell a bit. Still had a good sized ammonia spike. But I kept it in check with daily WC's.

Hey everyone...sorry I haven't been on...been...busy...and incredibly sick with a sinus/ear infection that almost reached my brain...and then I got kicked out of my house because of a fight my parents & I had over me being sick...and blah, it's a LONG story...

So anyways...algae filled update:

Image

Not much has changed other then the rocks...but I took this picture generally to say it was alive and survived my parent's wrath. My plan to soon be active is to have the 29 a NR. I'm waiting until I have everything[or atleast almost everything] for that though...

What happened to the powerhead that was in the other pic? Definitely need more flow. Water needs to break the surface to dissolve oxygen. Sorry to hear about your illness.
Check out my puffer, video, and tanks @ jdak.net.

lol, I took it out for cleaning...I was gone for a day and when I came back, it barley had any flow[clogged with algae], so yeah...I put it up for the picture because I was getting ready to disassemble the tank...

This time, I put a PVC pipe & elbow to hit the surface of the water to provide more oxygen and less sand disturbance...

Thanks, BTW...I'm finally on the road to recovery...

Not much to update with this tank but I did get a new picture of the firefish:

Oh and I integrated an LED fixture in the lid...it's not that bright, but it serves as the perfect moon light... :D
