Mangrove wood in combination with brakish water

Does that work? Seems the water keeps turning yellow. Even after harsh scrubbing. Its in it for a few months already..

Is it dead wood? Live mangroves are fine--natural environment for BW. Dead wood may leech tannins.

Yes, I am talking about the common dead wood. Bought it local store (hornbach) I am growing some liveplants but they arent big enough yet. I have 6 and ordered 25 more directly from Guadeloupe

Thnx for the link but the plants I'm growing are rhizophora mangle. And they do very well in brakish and even salt water. Also in fresh.

They are too small now. The leaves must be above the water. Once I get them in my tank I'll make pictures

They are starting to develop some leaves now :D
