Help: Ceylon Filtration and Substrate

Post by PuffinTough »

I'm looking for some advice on filtration and substrate for a Ceylon puffer tank. The tank was given to me and is currently FW with two aquaeon filters and black gravel. II'll be slowly making it a BW setup and ultimately marine level.

With that being said, and where I'm headed with Ceylons, what filters and substrate should I go with? Should I keep the aquaeons? I've used aquaclears and biowheels on past tanks. Also, should I buy aragonite sand for substrate or pool filter sand?

Thanks

Thanks for the link. What about filtration? Will two 350 Marine land Biowheels be enough into High Brackish/SW.

Also can I use the instant ocean orange bag of reef crystals salt or should I get the regular purple bag. What the difference?

Thanks
