Sorry yet another question. I just read that adding a substrate can cause another cycling within the tank! Is this true and how long do you think it will take, I'm not sure how long the fish shop will hold Maurice for me!

You'll be fine.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

"1 kilogram (1 litre) of typical commercial Nitrogen liquid contains 10.5 grams of soluble nitrogen from the [Urea + Nitrate salts] and 20 grams of soluble potassium. This will on average set you back £28 or so. That same £28 will buy you either 25,000 grams of Urea powder or 5000 grams of Potassium Nitrate powder. This means you could “roll your own” - about 200 liters of Nitrogen mixture and still have enough Urea powder left over to last the next 5 years."

Just wanting to know exactly what to mix up and ratios as I might have a bash at this when I get time.
The values from the article that I always refer to for making my mix is below::
"MACRO MIX:
2 ¼ tsp KNO3 (Potassium Nitrate)
¾ tsp KH2PO4 (Potassium Phosphate)
6 tsp MgSO4 (Magnesium Sulphate)
Add these to 600ml of tap or distilled water

TRACE ELEMENT MIX:
½ teaspoon to 200 ml of water and dose 25 ml two times per week. The trace element salt will either be called 'trace element' or 'CSM+B'."

Because the macro mix salts that I have bought contain potassium then I don't add an extra salt like potassium sulphate but I would if they didn't come with it
