Salt Help

For the people that have used Instant Ocean Marine Salt. How much salt do I add to each gallon to get the salinity to 1.006 or 1.007
This is for two Figure 8 Puffers. I don't have the fish yet, nor have I cycled the tank so I will add the salt right into the aquarium until I do water changes of course.

the salt manufacturers probably have guidelines, but you also need to have the equipment on hand (hydrometer, or better yet, a refractometer) to verify the level of salinity

I already have a refractometer, I calibrated it with some distilled water to 1.000
I was just wondering if anyone had a formula to make things easier :P
I will just play around till I get the right salinity

FYI, watch your ammonia level with Instant Ocean. Don't know if I got a bad batch, but my levels shot UP after water changes.
