SAPs can handle some salt but certainly not the amount GSPs prefer.

You could add 1-2 more, 3 in a 30g being only recommended if you keep up good on WCs and the tank is heavily planted (which I believe you said it is..). Most people here will say that 2 for 30 gallons is more then enough, It just depends on how well you maintain water quality, and the individual aggression of each puffer.

@ G S P freak. Thanks for the advice, he is in a 10 gallon being acclimated back to FW. Before he gOes into the 30 gal planted tank
