Puffers and EELS?

I keep seeing references to a "freshwater Moray" or "freshwater snowflake eel" from what i've read they said they can do freshwater but prefer brackish. They have them on aquabid as well, I wouldn't mind doing another brackish tank for eels if they do in fact do well in brackish because i think its easier to maintain than full marine. Anyone have any knowledge of these?
