Just angle the spraybar up a little so that the surface ripples, you don't need to break the surface because the ripples will be enough for oxygen exchange

I angled it upwards. It ripples the surface a good amount plus still has good flow in the tank.

Smudge just got acclimated to his new water. He's super bright and energetic which means all is good! I'll get some pictures either tonight or tomorrow so you all can see him! I treated him to some of the "grand daddy" snails from my breeder after i introduced him to the new tank and he gobbled them up.

+1!!! I am so excited for you!!!! Yoshi cannot come soon enough! Early next week! Smudge is in SW right? I can't remember if you posted about it already....anyways, can't wait to see pictures!!
