substrate
Been away from TAnks for a while. eco complete and florite sand should be ok for a non burrowing puffer correct. going to start a 30 gallon tank cycle it and add one of my wifes fish until I can find a red eye or abie puffer. I know it may take a while to find one.

I assume you are wanting a planted tank?

Re: substrate
I'd return that 30 for a 70.

Re: substrate
was planning on running 2 AC30's. they only had one. my wife has a 70 in her 26gal bow front and I didn't want that much flow. a few days ago I bought a bag of the bio stuff for the AC 30 and thew it in my wifes AC70 to start growing beneficial bacteria. then when I get the second filter next pay day it will go into that filter. MY old red tail shark is still alive in her tank. so he will reside in the 30 gallon until I can track down a puffer.

Re: substrate
I just use Tetra's Safestart to start up a new tank. I have 110s on my 20 & 15g tanks & the flow is fine.

Re: substrate
Flow is good. I have an AC 110 in my 75G with a 1300gph powerhead. I may add another AC110 eventually.

Re: substrate
I suggest you do. Or even better, add an Eheim canister.
