So my wife gets a new tank instead of me. She has 2 albino Crawdads and didn't want any bigger than a 26 gallon bow front from aqueon. they are in a 7 gallon mini bow now.
So question is. if I take the penguin 100 out of the minbow and use it to cycle the new tank. And take the new filter that came with the 26 gallon and put it in my established 7 gallon tank. is there a chance I could screw up the established tank before the new one is cycled.
Thanks
I thought I was funny when she asked if I could put a Red eye puffer in with her crawdads lol.
another new tank question.

Re: another new tank question.
How long has the 7 gallon been up and running? If the 7 is fully established there should be enough beneficial bacteria on the decor/substrate/glass to seed the new filter w/o hurting your cycle.

Then you should be good . You sound like you know what your doing. But just make sure to seed the new tank with food to keep the bateria going untill your cycled and are adding fish.
