Anyone know what this is?

Post by Tim »

This morning I saw something dart just outside my field of vision, so I look over and just see some sort of rod sitting on the backside of the 3d background. Not sure what it is, though the best I can come up with is that it belongs to the Odonata order of insects. Probably came in with the new plants.

I took it out because I don't know what it is and I don't particularly like strange things in my tanks, but I am still curious what it is exactly.

Please excuse the messy silicon kitting

Damselfly nymph. Fairly common hitch hiker from plants. Harmless.

I apologize for the laziness on my part, but I did put a link to the file above the image to make up for it . I really should just get some batteries for my camera and install photoshop again.

Thanks for the answer scpion :).
