Still can't get Valentini to eat

Well he will eat alittle, but not much. He was trying some brine shrimp earlier but ended up throwing it all up about 15 min later. But what really surprised me is that he won't eat clams! At the lfs they said they were feeding formula 1 or 2, and hand feeding clams. I have even tried soaking them in garlic and nothing. Any ideas? My perimeters are all cool, except I can't really figure out my ammonia kit. It looks like it is just alittle above 0, but it is really hard to tell. Thanks!
