average porcupine growth rate

how fast should these guys grow? i have had mine for a year now. he was 2-3 inches and now he is at least 5 inches and over double the body mass when i first got him. does that sound about right?

That seems slightly slow, what size tank is he in, are you using vitamins and how often do you do wcs?

180 gallon . No vitamins and every week pwc.

ok cool at least someones puff is growing at the same rate. any idea how long until he gets max size? if he grows like this and the average is about 10 inches in an aquarium im thinking 3 years ?

Sorry I was mistaken then. You may want to consider getting vitamin supplement for him though. A good one that is popular around here is vitachem.

Use Vita-Chem AND Selcon to soak all his foods in.

ok ill give those vitamins a try. I always belived all that stuff was just snake oil so i never used it.

My fugu goes funny without his vitamins, defo see a marked difference in him between when I use them and when I don't. He's getting alternated vitachem and vitazin now. (Vitazin was all I could get hold of initially and I've got a bottle to use up!)

Please also use Selcon, it has amino acids + lots of other good stuff that cannot be found in regular vitamins.
