Fahaka puffer food

Post by JustMe »

Hi, about to get a fahaka puffer but the one im going to get is tiny (>1"). What food should I give the small puffer? I know Im suppose to feed mussels and clams and earthworms and stuff but arent mussels a big too big for the 1" fahaka puffer? Long story short, I want to know what to feed my fahaka puffer as it grows and how may times a week I should feed it as it grows. Thanks! (Been a while since I've been here)

Even the tiny ones have teeth. They can take small bites out of any meaty food.

But if they are still small do I need to worry about them overgrowing their teeth? Or do I onky need to worry about that when they are bigger like over 6"? Thanks!

You can still offer small snails, freeze-dried plankton, shrimp tails with shell on & cracked open small mussels, where they will scrape the shell to get the meat out.
