After doing a butt load of reading on puffer fish in general,
I finally narrowed my search down to the Fahaka! After setting up my tank and allowing it to cycle I was off to my local fish store to order my puffer!
Fast forward (1month) Albert is doing great and has grown over a half inch to a total of 1.5" He's is loving snails, ghost shrimp, and some times frozen blood warms.
My question is, I've read a bunch about de Worming Mbus because they are wild caught. But with the fahaka being Captive bread, should I DE worm him aswell? I've noticed somtimes his poop hangs around for up to an hour or more before being able to release it. Is this normal or could he have parasites?
Sorry for the Grammer issues :/
Thanks for any info on #2 issues or habits you could shed light on for me:)

Re: New Fahaka puffer
Who told you the fahaka was captive-bread? I would definitely consider that it is certainly not. Does he show any signs of IPs? I think not, if he's growing so quickly.
There are lots of other foods to offer him: library/feeding/feeding-your-puffers/

He seems healthy and happy, just that his solid poops seem to hang on longer than any other fish I've ever kept. Just wondering if that's normal for young/small puffers or if it was a warning sign of warms or somthing.
