Hello fish friends!!
We recently purchased a baby fahaka who is around 3" in length. We are feeding frozen mysis shrimp, daphnia, blood worms, live snails and he has a few minnows in there. I will be trying to feed him earth worms as well. What else does everyone feed their Fahaka?? He isn't picky, and I love to offer the largest variety that I can! Thanks!

I would consider mysis & daphnia a bit small for a 3" fahaka, causing more mess than necessary. Does he search the tank to get all of the food?

Better to use earthworms, bloodworms (in a cone feeder), pieces of shrimp/scallop, mussels (cracked open), krill.

I leave the block frozen and he take the entire block, sticks it in his "tree" and then eats the whole thing! Do the clams/muscles have to be freshwater?

Do NOT feed your fish frozen food. It is really bad for their digestive system. Be sure to defrost (I add vitamins in there, too) & drain off any liquid. FW foods are recommended to feed to FW fish.
