Hi,
Please post your habitats for your Puffers. Thinking of doing a makeover for little "Sugar Puff" to come back to when I put him back into the big tank.
Size / Litres Please. Maybe a little blurb on the style / design your going for and where you got your items from!
Cheers
Matt

Re: Show us your Mbu Cribs
Unfortunately, most of us on this forum do not have the resources to PROPERLY house a Mbu, so most do not keep them.
Here's some great suggestions from our Mentor & fish keeper of over 60 years, RTR:

Re: Show us your Puffer Cribs
This is the LEAST of your concerns, as I see you are housing this puffer in a 290 liter tank.

Re: Show us your Puffer Cribs
May this be the reason why he sits on the bottom?
Usually when I walk into his room he will fly around the tank and follow me round but a lot of the time he is sat on the bottom.
Also i put a rock in for his to nibble on to file down his teeth but no markings of him touching the rock.

Re: Show us your Puffer Cribs
Puffers don't eat rock. They do though need a lot of decor to keep them entertained. They need shelled foods to keep their teeth filed down. Please go to the post you have in the Hospital forum & answer ALL the question in red there.

Re: Show us your Puffer Cribs
I have read you can smear soft food onto the rock for the puffer.
What soft food would you recommend?
Any decor to entertain the puffer you can recommend please.
I'm thinking of relaying the tank with a row of flowers at the rear.
I have 2x small barrels, drift wood, a cube and 2x medium rocks.
Please post advice on the layout you would recommend.

Re: Show us your Puffer Cribs
Unfortunately the only layout we can recommend is a much bigger one with tons of decor. His teeth will be kept in check with hard foods
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
