Fahaka Puffer

Post by harryhill »

I recently saw a Fahaka Puffer for sale in my local fish shop, but i noticed he/she had a sort of blue oil effect one its eye, didnt really get to see his other eye but he was nice, plump and active but before i purchased him/her (i have a 150gal setup) i just wanted to double check it was not a illness.

Welcome. That is perfectly normal
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

+1 to pufferpunk's and Bertie's posts above. That is full normal for puffers. That diffraction effect is a puffer's equivalent of fancy human sunglasses, it is effectively a variable organic light control coating.
