Manutius that is the exact idea that I was thinking. Not sure if it will happen, it will definately be something in the pipeline and I know that the filtration would have to change. It would even if we were going to change it into a koi pond.
Even if my mum doesn't do it, I will definately try sometime in the future as I think it'd be an amazing tank.
Hmmmm, just thought, maybe I should show her some in real life, that might get her hooked!
I'll keep you all updated if something changes/happens.

wow that video is awesome! puffers sure are amazing, i mean in all respect normal fish should have no chance against an otter like that but just leave it to a puffer lol

Idea Thief !!!
Lol, j/k - but seriously let me know how yours goes, as I am looking into doing something similar
Although mine will be customly built by me - not pre-installed.

It would be very interesting to see this plan go into action.I like the idea of sectioning off a viewing area, but it might be cost prohibited.

I think it would be cheaper to start from scratch but just imagine the impact of a tank like that

Re: Transforming indoor swimming pool to Mbu heaven
beside the reasons as of now cited here I have an issue with lakes in that you can just observe the fish from above and with the Mbu's capacity to vanish before you I would stress that you could never observe them. I used to free sight of Clooney in a 5ft tank when he was 15 inches+ Having said that the possibility of infant Mbu is fairly engaging
