GSP Not eating
GSP Not eating
Hi, hoping someone can shed some light with any information/advise. My gsp has always had a very healthy appetite eating literally anything, she’s 2.5” and I’ve had her around 10 weeks now, but since I gave her a couple of ramshorn snails 4 days ago she’s refusing to eat anything I give her. A couple days passed of not eating so I put 3 more snails in and she ate them instantly, hovering around looking for more ever since but not eating anything else. I’m getting a little concerned now. I only feed the snails once or twice a week to help with her teeth/beak, I’m breeding them in a separate tank and don’t have too many to spare , besides I know they need a variety of foods hence my concerns with her shunning everything else I put in Is this normal? Tank 30G Temp 26c Salinity 1.006 ph 7 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate low end (pwc daily). Nothing has changed in the tank atall. Is this normal behaviour?

Re: GSP Not eating
What substrate are you using? pH should be closer to 8.
Try live food: gut-loaded ghost shrimp, worms, brine shrimp.

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Just a regular medium sized resin coated sand gravel.Pufferpunk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 11:21 am What substrate are you using? pH should be closer to 8.

Yes I’ll up it to 8 slowly , thanks. Yes that’s an idea, I’ll see what live food I can get my hands on. Cheers
