Green spot question

Post by jlmurph06 »

I'm about to acquire a green spot puffer about 3.5 inchs and 3 years old. He is in pure freshwater. I know they require full salinity by that age. My question is should I slowly raise him to the salinity over time or should I leave him in fresh? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Make sure the tank is stable (0 ammonia/nitrite, nitrate <20), before you consider adding salt.
