Everyone talks about feeding them pond and ramshorn snails but I have a saltwater tank overflowing with snails and I can't find any information on feeding F* puffers salt water snails.

Anyone have any input?

Was wondering something similar! Is it ok to feed freshwater worms and earthworms to saltwater fish?

Yes, that is fine. The salt isn't good for FW fish.

Actually they are not BW fish in nature. Mostly live in VERY hard FW. It is easier to harden the water for them by keeping them in low-end BW conditions.
