When to switch to ro or rodi?

Post by PYRU »

I'm currently trying to transition from very low brackish to high end brackish/sw. I'm doing an increase of .001. Anyway my question is at what point do I need to transition to ro or rodi water? I'm trying to figure out the transition from 450 tds to near perfect water as well.

Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not keeping corals, I wouldn't bother.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Oh ok. So you just used tap with your old gsp's? I was trying to figure out when to chunk in the LR with skimmer and I thought that came with min ro water with a fowlr.

I changed my mind on the drip acclimation from such a low salinity. I inherited my old gsp from full salt so forgive my ignorance

Yes, I used tap until I started doing reef tanks.

Well that makes things easy (er). Thanks

You about get crucified usually when you mention tap in a switching to sw situation.
