Size in relation to age (f8)

Post by nehctik »

So I finally found a store thats not too far away that has some figure eights in stock, the guy I spoke to on the phone said they are about an inch and a half. Is there anyway to estimate age based on size?

I can tell you that I have had my f8 for 9 months, it came in really small at maybe 3/4 inch at it has just now reached an inch in length. I just recently added another f8 to my tank because I found one that was the same size, all the other ones that I had seen were much larger I treated him for intestinal parasites and he gets fed 6 days a week so he is not starving or neglected, he is just a slow grower. just my experience with growth rates
