green spotted puffer attacking rock

for some reason my green puffer is attacking a rock
does he see something on it to eat?
i dont think theres anything on the rock so im not sure what he sees on it

sadly he's also chasing other puffers that come near him
i am afraid to leave the house while i go to petco, the house depot to get a tank divider

I'm guessing he/she's pecking at things that look like they might be food. GSPs go nuts for snails, and mine will bite anything small round and dark-colored (including freckles!) He'll check things out repeatedly even if he's already figured out they're not food. Many GSPs will eat soft corals; if your tank is marine he may be eating that.
